The handle is made of rosewood, Buffalo bone, and Buffalo horn offering a firm grip. Included is a small 8” knife for detailed tasks. Both knives fit perfectly into the 14” Buffalo leather sheath with belt loop. Care Instructions1.Clean - Wipe blade with warm soapy water and dry at once. 2.Lightly oil the blade and handle to prevent corrosion.3.Sharpen using a stone or rod for regular edge maintenance.4.Do not store it in a sheath if not in use. The Kukri knife is known as the knife of Nepal, used as a basic utility knife. The origin of Kukri goes back to ancient times, the oldest one known to exist is on display in a museum in Kathmandu, said to have belonged to the King of Gorkha in 1627 AD.
