Alvin, Texas--Modern control rooms are a feature of Monsanto Chemical Company's new Chocolate Bayou Plant which was dedicated today near here. Digital computers perform much of the routine work such as data logging and alarm scanning. Here, the professor seated at the computer console is asking the electronic device a question, while the professor standing at the panel in the background changes the setting of an instrument in the plant.
