The newsletter, published sporadically over several years (typically quarterly but sometimes up to a year apart), contains questions by foreign visitors to Japan, with answers to many of the questions printed in the following issue. The topics range from places and history, to literature, Buddhism, culture, and prominent figures; the index lists such topics as judo, Lafcadio Hearn, horse racing, painting, poems, hermits, American aid, Basil Hall Chamberlain, Confucianism, and earth spiders, to name a few.We cannot find any other copies of this work, so presume it was printed on a limited circulation. We do not know if more than 29 issues were published. There is a laid-in index at the front covering issues 1-20. All the issues are bound together in blue cloth, and there is an original copy of issue 16 laid-in at the front. A rare and interesting set, which would provide almost endless amusement and diversion for the Japanophile. key words:
