Irish Santa This listing if for a decorative collectible plate from 2001 and is a fine bone white china measuring 8 1/4" in diameter. This plate is NEW & in new condition with no fading to the bright vibrant colors and no chips, cracks, crazing, or signs of use or wear what-so-ever, including the gold trim. This plate has a beautiful lithograph picture that was produced in France and hand crafted in Japan exclusively for the United States. The center of the front features Irish Santa with a bag of toys, a long white beard, and wearing a coat and a cap as green as a shamrock traveling with a festive Christmas background and surrounded by a delicate holly and berry design. The outer edge of the plate is decorated with a band of 24 karat gold trim creating a nice finished look. The year 2001 is also highlighted in gold. The back of this plate is beautifully done in gold lettering and has the limited edition number A0596. The back of the plate tells how Christmas was brought to Ireland by St. Patrick in the late fifth century though in the countryside.............. Using the Zoom feature, you can read the entire back of the plate and the certificate of authenticity.Please note this does NOT include the original box This plate does come packed in a white styrofoam packing along with the Certificate of Authenticity. The certificate says: Lenox Collections Certifies that Irish Santa is an original collector plate created exclusively for the International Victorian Santas Plate Collection. The plate is crafted of fine bone china, trimmed with 24 karat gold, dated on the front, hand-numbered and inscribed with Irish Christmas lore on the back. Irish Santa is issued in a strictly limited edition and will never again be produced after December 31, 2001.
