Description: For sale here is a set of 25 brand new 5/16" maple sap spiles or spouts that are machined from 304 stainless steel. They are made to use with the common metal style sap sack holders or buckets with a 3/4" inch or larger diameter hole. You can also use them with sap buckets that have a smaller hole by sliding a bucket hook over the spout before you drive it in the tree. They are made to use with a 5/16" tap hole. These spouts will clean up easy without holding bacteria like plastic or cast aluminum will. The main shaft is machined out of 304 stainless steel, and the holding washer ( also 304 stainless ) is pressed on from the back end up to a stop that is machined into the shaft for a solid holding ring. A great simple design that should provide a lifetime of maple sugar / syrup making with proper care.
