The mechanics of 3D Doming The 3D Doming process relies primarily on four components: 1.) dispensing bottle or Automatic Dispenser 2.) resin from which the dome or lens is formed 3.) Ultra Violet (UV) light source for curing resin 4.) item(s) to be domed The dispensing bottle or Automatic Dispenser deposits the resin on the surface of a receptive item, such as a name badge, decal, label, etc. that has previously been printed and cut-out. The resin spreads until it reaches the cut edges of the item, surface tension will hold and form a dome that encompasses the entire item. In this manner, an item forms a dome after resin is applied and cured under UV light for several minutes.
