Description: We bought these two glasses from “Georgian Gaffers” in 2014. Mark Taylor and David Hill, who now name their business “Heart of England Glass” (check their website) “specialize in making high quality reproductions of ancient Roman, Medieval and Eighteenth Century glass vessels for collectors, museums and the film industry.” They made these two glasses for us: They are not an exact pair. One is 8 1/16 inches tall; the other is 7 13/16 inches tall.Mr & Mrs glasses as it were. They are accurate representations of circa 1710-1730 Heavy Baluster Both have folded feet and an acorn knop. Both have a “tear” in the base of the funnel bowl. Both are signed and dated in the pontil. Originals sell for thousands of pounds and FEEL the same in the hand as these. And have the same "mouth feel” and “nose”. I know. I have used originals! Picture # 8 above is a screen shot of a genuine glass which just sold for 2,350 pounds! Picture #7 is from the “Heart of England Glass” website. My listed price is for BOTH glasses, and I will ship them FREE (within the US), with tracking! Thank you for reading this and thank you for your help. We are selling our STUFF (a) to rescue my executor and my wife from having to deal with it if I die before I get it all sold. [I am now 87]and (b) in the hope of finding appreciative homes for "our little treasures”.But (c) mostly because we are using all the proceeds from the eBay sales to provide mortgage support to three “homeowners” who used to work for us, before we retired, and who have had problems finding other work because of covid.
