Pioneered a new watercolor technique by introducing paper texture into his creative process. He developed this dynamic component of his art, making him one of the first artists to elevate the expressive possibilities of the watercolor medium to a level usually associated with oil painting. Worked as a scenic artist for ABC and CBS (including the production of two Academy Awards shows) and was a set designer for the band KISS and Universal Studios (credits include The Blues Brothers, Coal Miners Daughter, Gilligans Island, and Battlestar Galactica).
