The jack jumper is solid but there are a few cracks in the wood..Interesting info: Jack Jumping, known as Skibock in Europe, is an old winter sport that involves descending a snowy slope on a Jackjumper. The Jackjumper is a skiing device with a small bench seat attached to a ski, the earliest ones utilizing barrel staves for skis. The seat may be solidly mounted with a post, or sometimes a spring and/or shock absorbing device in employed. The origins of Jack Jumping, as well as its name, remain a mystery, BUT its thought to have originated in New England during the mid to late 1800s. Cool collectible for winer sports enthusiasts. Condition: Good pre-owned condition. Original red paint is chipped and peeling in some places. Small crack in the wood on both side of the seat. See photos for details.
