Description: This is authentic original wood from The steamboat Alice Dean. It was sunk in Mauckport, Harrison County Indiana, by the Confederacy. This is where General John Hunt Morgan crossed. Corydon is the county seat. Mauckport is across the river from Brandenburg Ky. In 1959, part of the boat was salvaged. Some of the wood was used to make souvenir items. This frame is one of them. These do not come up available but rarely. The photo is I just an old copy from 1959. The plaque needs proper cleaning. The wood is heavy and dense. A rare find indeed! Examine pics as they tell most of the story and ask questions. Please bear in mind that listing photos might not show the exact true color of the item due to the calibration between the actual item, the camera/flash, and the buyer's screen view. Other than that, always make sure to use photos for condition and style of items. Thanks and blessings to all.
