For your consideration is this genuine vintage 1974 collectible 3-pin/2-dot BUCK 110 USA folding Lockblade pocketknife with the original Buck 110 black leather sheath. I received this knife for Christmas back around 1974-1975 and it has served me well over the past 50 years. However, since I no longer have a need for the knife, I am offering it for someone else to enjoy. This is a well-built sturdy knife that weighs approximately 8.0 ounces by itself and nearly 10.0 ounces inside the leather sheath. The overall measurement of the knife when closed is approximately 5.0" long. When the blade is opened and extended the overall length of the knife is approximately 8.50" long. The blade by itself measures approximately 3.75" long with the actual cutting edge being approximately 3.50" long. Refer to description photos #19, #20, #21, #22, #23 and #24 to confirm the weights and size dimensions and for more details about what I have described. I copied and pasted the following specifications about this pocket knife directly from the BUCK Knife Company website and am including it below for your further review and consideration. NOTE; THOUGH YOU ARE BIDDING ON A GENUINE VINTAGE BUCK 110 KNIFE, THE BELOW INFORMATION IS ALSO APPLICABLE TO THE CURRENT PRODUCTION MODEL 110 POCKET KNIFE AS DESCRIBED. Product Description: The 110 Folding Hunter knife is a classic and traditional favorite. The knife features brass bolsters genuine ebony handle scales and a razor sharp 3-3/4" clip point 420HC stainless steel blade. Securely locks in the open position with the lock back design. It folds down to a convenient 4-7/8" in length when closed and comes with a genuine leather sheath so that it can be carried on your belt. The knife was designed for hunting but is perfect for any task requiring a large folding knife. Please note: When we make handles out of natural products, you will find nature’s own "brand marks." In most cases, these markings are not flaws, rather nature’s own design. Colors and markings will vary from handle to handle. Each one will have its own personality and distinctive look unlike handles created from man-made materials. History of the 110 Folding Hunter: Buck's Folding Hunter was created in 1963 when Al Buck decided that a revolutionary locking blade knife was needed by outdoorsmen who wanted a sturdy knife but did not want to carry a long, fixed blade knife. He was right and the result proved to be the key to the company's future. The challenge was to combine the strengths of other folding knives with locking mechanisms into a good-looking, reliable product. It wasn't easy, but after a series of refinements, the Model 110 was unveiled. Within six months, this innovation was the hottest knife in the industry. Specifications: Blade Shape: Clip Point Blade Steel: 420HC Blade Thickness: 0.120” Weight: 7.20 ounces Handle: Ebony Carry System: Sheath Origin: Knife Made in the U.S.A. The clip point blade is made out of stainless steel and has been correctly sharpened in the past. Although it retains a semi-sharp cutting edge, I believe it could use a re-sharpening to bring the original sharp cutting edge back to its glory days. The scales on the knife are ebony hard wood that has age beautifully and now have an extremely comfortably smooth surface. The knife is easy to open with the use of a nail notch located along the top edge of the blade. The blade folds back into the handle with a strong snap and is secure and does NOT wobble. The lockback mechanism works perfectly as it securely locks the blade open for reliable strength and safety while using the knife. As can be verified in the description photos; this knife has been gently used, but never abused. Inasmuch, the knife remains in very good condition, especially for being over 50 years old. Please refer to the description photos to confirm the condition of the knife and for more details about what I have described. The ricasso on the blade is clearly stamped with (3) three lines of information which read as follows below. Please refer to close-up description photos #1, #2, #3, #6 and #7 for more details about what I have described. “BUCK” “• 110 •” “U.S.A.” The knife scales (aka handles) remain in beautiful condition and are smooth and comfortable in the hand and easy to grip. The brass bolsters are solid and have acquired a natural patina finish that can only be achieved with genuine age. Because the bolsters are solid brass, they could easily be polished to a brilliant luster if the new owner so desired. The knife has a plain cutting edge that remains sharp but could be re-sharpened to bring back the original sharpness. Please refer to all the description photos to confirm the overall condition of the pocket knife and for more details about what I have described. The black genuine leather sheath is original to the knife and was made specifically for the BUCK #110 folding pocketknife. The sheath features a protective flap closure with a silver colored “BUCK” snap button to keep the knife secured inside the sheath. The back of the sheath is clearly embossed with the number “110” indicating the sheath was made for that specific pocketknife model. The sheath also features a large leather belt loop on the back so the sheath can be worn securely on a belt accommodating a width of up to 2.75”. The leather surface of the sheath shows honest wear from years of carry and use but remains structurally intact and serviceable. All the stitching on the sheath remains tight and secure. Please refer to description photos #1, #15, #16, #17 and #18 to confirm the overall condition on the black leather sheath and for more details about what I have described. This is a wonderful and quality made pocketknife that will provide its new owner with many more decades of dependable use and enjoyment. Please refer to all the description photos to confirm the condition of both the pocketknife and the sheath and for more details about what I have described. Please look at the description photos closely as they confirm the pocketknife and sheath I describe and accurately depict the exact items you will receive if you purchase these pieces. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the knife or sheath or would like additional photos please email me and I will respond ASAP.
