Includes Fender deluxe gig bag, hangtag, and papers. ConditionCosmetically this guitar is super clean. One tiny mark in shown in pics and other super mild scuffs too faint to show in photos. Frets are in very good condition. Features— Fully bound alder body, maple neck, rosewood board— 7.25” vintage radius, C-shape neck w/ vintage frets— Upgraded pickups: DiMarzio "Twang King" neck, Duncan "Five Two" bridge — Upgraded Fender locking tuners and compensated brass saddlesThe pickups here are worth $200. The Twang King (DP172CU) neck is modeled after a vintage Broadcaster for pick response and dynamics. The Duncan Five Two (STL52-1) aims to get ride of mushy lows and overly bright highs for a more balanced bridge sound. Sound & PlayabilityThis is a beautiful example of a Japanese-made Fender Telecaster. Start with the fully bound body with white binding on the black body looks priceless. A dark rich rosewood board with vintage frets make it easy on the hands. The locking tuners and compensated saddles provide solid intonation. Two Alnico vintage voiced single coil pickups and traditional 3-way switch and Vol/Tone setup give you all the old school tone you could want. Underneath it all you feel the Japanese quality in this instrument bringing you back to a time in the 80s when Fender Japan was making world-class instruments. They recaptured it with this guitar. Neck Specs25.5” scale, 7.25” radius C neck, 21 fretsWidth at nut: 1.67”Thickness at 1st fret: .88”Thickness at 12th fret: .90" (Note: specs for this model call for a "U-shaped" neck. It feels more like a full C neck to me. Please do your own research. You'll also see it listed with a basswood body in some places. Fender rep told me it was alder.) We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present.
