Description: The Carson City Mint in Nevada only produced 13 years of silver dollars, with the last issue in 1893. With the demands for silver to support the war effort in the early 1900's many of the stored silver dollars were melted. In 1964 a load of these dollars was discovered during an audit of the Treasury and the General Services Administration was authorized to sell them.
