Description: Set of 6 Gudebrod “Double-Catch” Monofilament Braided Loops for fly line to leader and backing connections!Ready to ship immediately! As usual I ship the same or day after payment is received!! You have the choice of either 35 lb or 50 lb test, please tell us which size you prefer at time of payment. We recommend 35# loops for fly lines 7 weight (wt) and lower, and 50# loops for fly lines 8 wt and higher. Easy to Install Insert end of fly line into the loop core. Tie nail knot with light mono where the fly line enters the braided mono. Trim loose ends, and coat knot with a flexible cement such as Pliobond or Loop knot dressing. It might take multiple coats to cover the frayed ends of the braided mono. Description Our custom made braided loops are a result of more than 45 years of fly tying and fishing experience around the world. If you have ever fly fished, then at one time or another you have gotten your leader knot or loop stuck in your rod tip guide, and this has probably cost you catching a fish or two. Use these and it will NEVER happen again! I have been making and using braided loops for years now and cannot imagine going back to cluttered knots. These loops do not come with shrink tubes. Shrink tubes are used for single-catch loops and tend to hang on your guides anyway! I personally use two braided loops for each fly rod/reel setup, one attaching the fly line to the leader, the other attaching the fly line to the backing. Therefore, these six braided loops are enough for up to 6 flyrod setups, depending on if you use line backing of course. These heavy duty “double-catch” braided loops are much better and stronger than the cheaply made and standard manufactured loops that come on many fly lines today. The world famous Dan Blanton states that “they will slip through the guides like ladyfish slime, will hold the largest tarpon or billfish, and will make connecting fly lines to backing, shooting heads to shooting line and leader butts to fly lines easier and more efficient than ever before.” See Dan Blanton’s article on “Getting Looped! http://www.danblanton.com/blog/getting-looped/ Perfect for any fly fishing situation. I use these braided loops to catch many fresh and salt water fish species, including largemouth bass, bluegill, redfish, bonefish, snook, tarpon, cobia, permit, snapper, barracuda, dolphin, tuna, sharks, kingfish, mackerel, ladyfish, and speckled trout.
