Description: Hi Fellas. So I wanted to install a tachometer on my HMMWV. But while the Dixon Tachs (12469030) are relatively easy to find, I couldn't find the housing/ bracket which mounts the the tach near the top center of the windshield like on the M1123. I eventually gave up, borrowed an original housing, drew it up precisely in CAD, laser cut, and bent to spec. -made of 5052 H32 0.100" aluminum- this is one guage thicker then the original.-fits the DIXON electronic tach with the hour guage. -approximately a 3 3/8" hole.-fits both the cannon plug version(connects to alternator for signal) and the bus bar version(connects to the tach drive on the rear of engine & easy to find on ebay) I made a batch. Used 1 on my rig & I'm very happy with it(see pics.) The mounting holes aligned perfectly with the factory rivnuts in my windshield frame. (you might need to install rivnuts if yours doesn't already have) Selling the remaining housings here. This is just the housing! you must find the tach elsewhere. when they're gone, they're gone. yeah I know shipping sucks. I'm just using the ebay weight/dimension calculator via ups. It is what it is.
