Avro Lancastrian three “Star Guide” of British South American Airways arrives at Kindley Field in September 1946. The Lancastrian, a stopgap civil development of the wartime Lancaster bomber, was flown by captain Gordon Stone and inaugurated the London - Caracas services with stops at the Azores, Bermuda and Jamaica. Hopes were high that the Lancastrian‘s would soon be replaced by the new Avro Tudor, an aircraft to rival the Lockheed constellation. Measurements: Poster print measures approximately 14” Tall x 20.5” Wide. Condition: Very good vintage condition. One small mark at top left of print. Very light creasing on some edges.
