Description: The art panel shown used high voltage discharges to create Lichtenberg fractal patterns. My approach is to coax the patterns in various directions and maximize the delicate fractals. Once complete, wood colorants are used to enhance the wood grain and create a more complete picture. I use a color preservative, followed by 2 thin coats of polyurethane for a low shine that is smooth when touched and intended to be displayed indoors for many years.
