Description: These lamps have been well cared for over the years and really give off that Mid Century Modern vibe. They show very light signs of use associated with previous ownership and natural aging over the past 5 decades, all things considered. After close inspection, there are a couple of talking points. One of the upper bulb sockets is a one-way switch, and the other is a 3-way switch. This could easily be changed out to match, and we do not know which one is original to the lamp, and both are vintage Underwriters Laboratories sockets. In addition, the shades have some scuffs and bumps, which are to be expected over such a period of time. However, both shades are very presentable, as are the lamps... both lamps show patina from age. We would recommend a professional cleaning of both lamps and shades as no attempt was made to clean or modify them in any way. All switches work, and these lamps are really beautifully impressive in person. It's just getting hard to find a pair these days in equal cosmetic condition, and so these are a bit of a rare find. The lamps have a catalog model number of #414 and a striking iridescent finish and feature a knob control for easy adjustment for all 3 sets of lights. Each lamp has 6 lights, including 1 internal lower night light, four flicker midway bulbs, and one upper standard light bulb, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere anytime of day or night. The lamps are extra large, measuring 48 inches in height and 15 inches in diameter at the glass base, and come with matching shades. The shades are drum shaped and slightly tapered, measuring 16" at the top, 19" at the botom, and are 22" in height.
