Designed jointly by members of the Alliance, the Khitomer fuses elements of Starfleet and Klingon ship design for a true hybrid ship. The Khitomer class has a disc section, connected by an unusually wide neck to its rear winged section, similar to that of the Qib Intel Battlecruiser. The ship is adorned with a new hull paint job, including an Alliance insignia on the bridge dome and wing pylons.
