Vintage Corneta 127 MACHETE & LEATHER SHEATH 31” El Salvador-PLS. READ DESCR.

Description: Vintage Corneta MACHETE & LEATHER SHEATH 31” from LA MARCA / IMACASA Made in El Salvador Purchased in 1978. • From 1964 - 1987, the largest ownership share of this company was GEBR Weyersberg in Solingen Germany, well known for their high quality steel knives. Condition Issues: See Photos• There are no nicks in the machete blade.• Purchased new in El Salvador in 1978. This item had been hanging on a wall since its purchase, with the exception of certain occasions (and without my knowledge) that my nephews decided to play Ninja Warriors in the back yard. It was during one of these occasions that a small section on one side of the handle was damaged and broke off where the blade meets the handle. The handle still feels solid and secure. The estimated part of the handle that has broken off and is missing measures between 1/2” - 6/8” in width. See photos #20 & 21.• Two cosmetic brass plugs are missing on either side of the machete’s handle. Also two cosmetic metal studs are missing towards the bottom of the leather sheath. See photos #19 & #20.• There are a couple of gouges or burn marks on the leather sheath.• The lanyard loop at the top of the leather sheath has a small tear in the leather. Multiple metal grommets and leather fringes complete the design of the decorative leather sheath.• Original Paper Label completely intact on the blade of the vintage machete.
